Crooked Cabin is located at Sand Cut Pass, one of the infamous locations of notorious train derailments in years past. Now that the train has ceased to run the tracks make for excellent hiking; either up to Saluda or down to Melrose where you can stop back by and enjoy the beauty of Pearson Falls before returning to Crooked Cabin to soak in the outside hot tub or just sit back and relax on the large deck and listen to nature.
