Sweet Earth Mountain Upstairs Suite
Come stay at our cottage-style suite of rooms which sit atop a Saluda country home. It consists of a living/dining room, fully equipped kitchen including a microwave, toaster, oven and coffee maker, a small library/office (with dial-up Internet connection), a shower room and cozy bathroom, the best feature being the wonderful large antique claw foot tub (perfect for a long hot soak after hiking (or shopping?) and finally a master bedroom with a queen size bed, oak antiques & wicker.
Share the extra large front porch with your hosts, Steve and Sheila, it is furnished with rockers, porch swings, wicker and abundance of plants, or enjoy a little privacy on your side of the porch.
Wander around the overflowing perennial gardens, nibble on raspberries and blueberries or explore beyond the immediate surroundings to the "woodland loop". The loop takes you by two spring-fed ponds stocked with blue gill and striped bass then along a shady path beside a trickling stream. There are plenty of secluded areas furnished with seating for rest and relaxation.
Your suite is within walking distance of the quaint town of Saluda which is filled with lovely shops and restaurants, some featuring live music. There is also hiking and fishing areas nearby including Green River, DuPont Forest, and Pisgah National Forest.
