Quickchester is a 5-piece band from Asheville that will bring its “genre-fluid” style to its debut at our live music venue. Paul Quick and Mark Chester began as a duo more than a decade ago playing folk music and a handful of original songs in coffee shops and open mic events around Asheville, NC. Today, Quickchester has a library of more than 30 original songs and some 100 covers. Paul plays lead electric guitar while Mark backs on acoustic rhythm guitar, and both are contributing songwriters. Singer/songwriter and flute player Kyley Byrd rounds out the three-part vocal harmonies, with drummer Stu Way and bassist J.D. Smith holding down the rhythm. Their music is a blend that ranges from indie rock and folk to good ol’ rock’n’roll.
