Batiks
at Saluda Moon Glass Studio
Take ordinary glass with the addition of glass powders and you will have a result that suggests batik fabric. No glass cutting skills required. You can mount your final pieces for wall hanging or slump them into interesting small plates. You can also cut them up for jewelry pendants. We will also experiment with silver foil and powders to use as embellishments on other pieces. These techniques take you beyond plain glass sheets into what people often say looks like pottery. You will make 5 – 5×5 batik pieces.
