Founded in 1890, Thompson’s Store in downtown Saluda is the oldest grocery store in North Carolina. Thompson’s features gourmet goods, a full-service meat market that offers hand-cut meats (including our signature Charlie’s Sage Sausage), a deli section, fine wines and craft beers, local jams and honeys, fresh produce, frozen meals, old-fashioned candies, and household staples.
