We invite you to come in and explore the Saluda Historic Depot, located in Saluda, NC. The Saluda Grade crests at the top of this small mountain village and is the steepest, mainline, standard gauge railroad in the country.
By visiting Saluda Historic Depot website, you will learn how the depot has been preserved, how you can contribute to this preservation, exhibits that you will see in the museum, and keep up with all of the events at the depot.
Museum is open Thursday through Sunday, noon to 4pm and some holidays, March through December.
Saluda Train Tales is the third Friday of the month at 7pm. It’s storytelling about the Saluda Grade, the railroad, history of Saluda, and more. This is a free event.
