Saturday, Jan. 31 | Leather Britches is a duo out of Asheville that focuses on traditional Appalachian music. The old-time duo’s music ranges from ripping fiddle and banjo numbers in the genres of folk, blues and bluegrass, to heart wrenching ballads. They bring music born of ancient times into the present. Andy Ferrell plays guitar fiddle and sings while his duo mate, Eleanor Chen, accompanies him on banjo.

Blues Underground is a variety band from the Rutherfordton area that plays rhythm and blues, funk and classic rock with a little country thrown in the mix. The group loves to bring the fun, sharing tunes from Fleetwood Mac to Joplin! Providing lead vocals is Stacy Rollins, who is backed up by Todd Rollins on guitar/vocals; Chuck Faile on bass guitar/vocals; and Richard Byrd on drums.

Offering authentic performances, the band is guitar rhythms led by veteran musicians fronted by a charismatic young singer, Esther Rose. Joining her are guitarist Gary Davis, bassist Don Hartke, drummer Winston Claiborne, and keyboardist Wryley Bettis.
