McKinney Gap Duo

McKinney Gap Duo is a versatile group of North Carolina musicians with more than 30 years of experience performing together at festivals like Merlefest and sharing the stage with bluegrass greats like Earl Scruggs. The group provides professional musical experiences rooted in bluegrass and Americana, featuring exceptional talent and beautiful harmonies. The musicians’ extensive repertoire includes hundreds of covers and original songs, ranging from Billy Strings and Grateful Dead to Doc Watson, and Earl Scruggs, and country classics from Willie, Waylon and Merle. Playing Aug. 9 will be a duo consisting of Fudd McKinney on guitar and lead vocals, and Tommy Rape’ on 5-string banjo and vocals.
