Sullivan Memorial Park Groundbreaking Ceremony

The Madame Phoebia Cheek Sullivan Memorial Park will mark an important milestone with a groundbreaking ceremony on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 PM.

Community members are invited to gather at The Sullivan Temple, 145 Chestnut Street, to recognize the beginning of this new chapter for the park. Created in memory of Madame Phoebia Cheek Sullivan, the park is envisioned as a place of peace, reflection, and connection for generations to come.

The ceremony will honor her legacy while celebrating the work ahead as plans for Sullivan Memorial Park move forward.
